Toulouse Tech Transfer

Toulouse Tech Transfer

Toulouse Tech Transfer is the technology transfer acceleration company (SATT) of the Toulouse Academy. Created in 2012 within the framework of the French Investments for the Future Programme, TTT bridges the gap between academic research and business applications. As a link between researchers and businesses, TTT transforms discoveries made in public research into business drivers and supports Deep Tech startup creation. TTT intervenes throughout the maturation chain to identify and protect inventions, develop and finance proofs of concept and prototypes, and transfer innovations to the economic world through licensing agreements or startup creation. The founders and shareholders include the Federal University of Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées, the CNRS (French National Centre for Scientific Research), and the CDC (Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations).

LAPLACE Laboratory

LAPLACE Laboratory

LAPLACE (Laboratoire Plasma et Conversion d'Energie) is a CNRS laboratory operated jointly by the CNRS, the University of Toulouse and the Institut National Polytechnique of Toulouse. The research themes at LAPLACE are in the field of electrical energy and plasmas and cover a continuum of activities from production, transport, management, conversion to use of electricity. With more than 350 researchers, university professors, engineers, technicians, postdoctoral fellows and doctoral students, LAPLACE is the largest research concentration in the field of Electrical Engineering and Plasmas at the national level. Research activities range from cold plasma physics, materials (dielectrics), electromagnetism and thermics to innovative design and optimization of complex systems for production (hydrogen energy) and electrical energy conversion (power electronics and electric motors).
